Your Pets Pathway To Quality Hay
Putting out hay your pet won’t touch is frustrating for both you and them. Your pet’s health is at the heart of everything we do.
- We take pride in the care and attention we put into every bag. Our commitment to quality and to our customers is what sets us apart.
- Your hay is always hand packaged and carefully sorted by our team to ensure the cleanest high quality hay you expect every time.
- All of our hay is grown and harvested on our family farm, so we know exactly where it comes from and how it’s handled every step of the way, without relying on outside or unknown sources.
- Proper storage and protection from the elements are essential. We keep our hay in clean, dry conditions and out of the weather, ensuring it stays fresh and maintains the quality your pet deserves.
Thoughtfully grown, carefully packed, and made for pets who deserve the best. We’re here for you every step of the way.
From our fields to your pet’s bowl, every step happens on our family farm. That means consistent quality and hay you can trust.
We believe in our hay and the care behind it. If you’re not completely satisfied, we’ll work with you to make it right.

Small Pet Parents Ask
Is your hay dust free?
We take immense pride in providing premium, dust-free hay, meticulously hand-sorted and packed to ensure it's free from dust and chaff, making it ideal for your small pets.
What’s the difference between your hay blends?
Each of our hay blends is designed with a different goal in mind, so you can choose what fits your pet best.
Our First Cutting Original Blend includes Timothy, orchard, and fescue grasses, offering balanced fiber and natural variety to support healthy digestion.
Our First Cutting Custom Blend features a wider mix of Timothy, orchard, Kentucky bluegrass, fescue, rye, and brome grasses. With thicker stems and more texture, it’s great for pets that enjoy variety and need support for dental health.
Our Second Cutting Timothy Blend combines soft second cutting Timothy hay with added alfalfa, providing a boost of protein while still delivering the fiber small pets need. It’s a great option for picky eaters, growing pets, or more active animals.
All of our hay is family grown, pesticide free, and hand packed for freshness and quality.
Do you treat your hay with any pesticides or additives?
None of our hay blends are treated with any chemicals or additives. We let nature do the work by allowing a natural mix of grasses to grow, guided by the seeds we plant rather than heavily managing our fields to produce just a single species. This approach creates a healthier more natural, diverse hay that pets will love.
Can I sample different hay blends before committing to a larger order
Absolutely. We offer sample size hay bags in 10 oz portions, giving you the chance to try a smaller quantity before committing to a larger size. You can also order a sample of each of our different blends to see which one your pet enjoys most before choosing a full size bag.
How are you protecting against RHDV
At Bell Feed Company, the safety of your pets is our top priority. We actively monitor updates from the Michigan Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, as well as the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, regarding any RHDV2 cases. We're pleased to inform you that there have been no reported cases of RHDV2 in the entire state of Michigan, including the county where our family-owned farm grows and harvests our hay. Our close monitoring of this disease ensures we remain vigilant in safeguarding our products. Unlike many competitors, our hay is sourced directly from our farm, not outsourced from others. This full oversight of how our hay is stored, handled, and harvested from start to finish allows us to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety, giving our customers utmost confidence in our products.
