Our story begins with a deep-rooted passion for farming and ranching, instilled in Thomas from a young age. The invaluable mentorship of Gregg Bellows, a remarkable individual, shaped Thomas's understanding of the trade. Thomas eagerly absorbed every nugget of wisdom from Gregg, visiting his farm whenever possible. Though Gregg left us in 2015, his legacy lives on in our hearts every day.
Out of tragedy emerged opportunity. With unwavering family support, Thomas and I ventured into the realm of farming, caring for all animals large and small alike. Our siblings contributed to the creation of our farm logo and name, our parents supported the endeavor, our friends cheered us on, and fellow farmers guided us through the initial stages. Family, in its various forms, made our vision a reality.
Once our cattle settled into their new home, we turned our attention to their sustenance—hay. Recognizing the scarcity of quality hay in our area, Thomas embarked on a mission. Additional fields were rented, and hay production became a shared venture, even turning into romantic sunset tractor rides during summer date nights.
In 2021, a new challenge presented itself. Thomas, an unabashed softie for all things fluffy and cute, noticed the scarcity of quality hay for small pets. Thus, Bell Feed Company was conceived. Half of our fields were replanted with a hay blend tailored for small pets, and our mission became clear—to provide the highest quality hay for small animals.
We're on this journey not just for the best hay on the market but also to nurture our growing family, and that includes you! Your unwavering support propels us forward, and we're excited about the future. As we continue to evolve, anticipate educational content and updates about our business.
